Overview

An introductory course giving an overview of the pharmaceutical industry and the drug development process as a whole, aimed at those with 1-3 years' experience. It comprises of six 2-day sessions covering a range of topics including Research and Development, Toxicology, Data Management and the Role of a CRO, Clinical Trials, Reimbursement, and Marketing.

Who is this event intended for? Statisticians and statistical programmers new to the pharmaceutical industry (approx 1-3 yrs experience).


What is the benefit of attending? Provides an insight into other areas of drug development and the role of statistics. Provides an opportunity to network with other statisticians and statistical programmers at similar stages in their career.

PLEASE NOTE:-

  • This Course will run from October 2024 through to July 2025.
  • The Course is comprised of 6 individual sessions, which will run on separate dates and will be held at host companies in the UK and Europe. In registering, you do so for the Course as a whole - you cannot register for individual sessions.
  • Enrolment is not guaranteed and your registration application will be subject to approval. Delegates will be notified individually whether their application is successful. Please be advised:- Applications will not be reviewed until June 2024, and once a decision has been made, you will be notified accordingly. We thank you in advance for your patience.
  • You must confirm that you have authorisation from your Manager to participate in this Course. Details will be required in the registration form.
  • If you are registering at the Non-Member rate, this includes complimentary membership of PSI through to the end of the 2025 calendar year.
  • Communications will be distributed by the ITIT Committee in the run-up to each individual session, in relation to confirmation of the venue location, dates, times, travel, accommodation and menu choices/dietary requirements.
  • All sessions will take place at locations in Europe and the UK - as per the previous point, you will be notified about this in due course.
