Event Details
Overview
It's time to discuss the next book within our PSI book club! As always, we will be reading and discussing non-technical books which are relevant to our roles. Participants will be split into smaller discussion groups so members can network with each other and practice exercises to help implement their learnings.
Please note:- The event dates & event link listed in the details for this event are purely placeholders. Once registration closes, we will split participants into groups and will send further details in separate communications. Your group will then arrange to meet at a date & time of your choosing.
The next book we are reading is "The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People" by Stephen R. Covey. This is a classic in the personal development genre. The first edition dates to 1989 and was updated and reissued in 2020. It was voted by the New York times as "The No. 1 Most Influential Business Book of the Twentieth Century".
This book is fit for every career stage, form junior statisticians to the senior leadership team.
We are also looking for facilitators who will be leading the discussion groups. Facilitators will be provided guidance on how to run the group discussions and there will be a Q&A session at the beginning for any questions that may arise. Make sure to indicate on the registration form if you are interested!
Who is this event intended for? This event is open only to Members of PSI, and aims to encourage Professional Development no matter what stage of your career you're in.
What is the benefit of attending? As well as discussing and practicing learnings from a wide range of books, this is also an opportunity to network with colleagues from the industry. As a plus, if you are participating as a facilitator, you also have the opportunity to lead and chair discussions.
